Free email checker
Check any email address in seconds. We test the format, spot common typos, look up the domain and its mail servers, and flag disposable and role addresses. Free, and nothing is stored.
Free, no sign-up. We do not store or log the addresses you check here.
Format check
Tests the address against the email standard (RFC 5322), so missing @ signs, spaces and stray characters are caught.
Typo suggestions
Spots common misspellings such as gmial.com, hotmial.com or .con and suggests the fix.
Domain and MX records
Looks up the domain in DNS to confirm it exists and publishes mail servers that can receive email.
Disposable domains
Flags well-known throwaway inbox services that people use to dodge signups.
Role addresses
Marks shared team inboxes such as info@, sales@ or support@ that do not belong to one person.
Private
The address you check is not saved or logged, and nothing is sent to it.
What the free email checker tests
Most bounces come from a handful of simple problems: an address typed wrongly, a domain that does not exist or no longer accepts mail, or a throwaway inbox that disappears after a few minutes. The free checker catches these in a second, without an account.
- Format: the address must follow the email standard, with one @ sign, a valid local part and a real domain name.
- Typos: common misspellings of big providers, like
gmial.comoryaho.com, get a suggested correction. - Domain and MX records: the domain must exist in DNS and publish mail servers. A domain with no mail servers bounces every message.
- Disposable and role flags: throwaway services and shared inboxes such as
info@are flagged so you can decide whether to keep them.
When you need the full check
A good format and working mail servers do not prove that the person's mailbox exists. jane@company.com can pass every quick test and still bounce because Jane left the company. The NoBounch email verifier goes one step further and asks the receiving mail server about the mailbox itself, without sending a message. It also detects catch-all domains that accept every address.

Questions people ask
Is the email checker really free?
Yes. You can run quick checks without an account. To protect the service there is a limit of 10 checks a minute and 100 a day for each visitor.
Does it tell me if the mailbox exists?
No. The free checker tests the format, the domain and its mail servers. Confirming that the exact mailbox exists needs a conversation with the mail server, which is part of the full check in a free NoBounch account.
Does checking an address send an email?
No. The free checker only reads public DNS records for the domain. Nothing is sent to the address.
Do you store the emails I check?
No. The address is checked in memory and then discarded. It is not written to our database or to our logs.
What is the difference from the full verifier?
The full verifier also asks the receiving mail server about the mailbox and detects catch-all domains, so you get a valid, invalid, catch-all, disposable or unknown result you can act on.
