Frequently asked questions

Cannot find your answer? Ask us directly.

What does email verification do?

It checks whether an address can receive mail before you send to it. Removing bad addresses lowers your bounce rate, protects your sender reputation and keeps your campaigns out of spam folders.

What do the results mean?

Valid: safe to send. Invalid: the mailbox does not exist or the domain cannot receive mail, so remove it. Risky: the address may work but is a catch-all, disposable or role address, so send with care. Unknown: the mail server did not give a clear answer; the credit is refunded.

How are credits charged?

One credit per email checked. In bulk lists, duplicates and rows without an email are removed first and are not charged. Unknown results are refunded automatically.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits stay on your account until you use them.

Which file formats can I upload?

CSV files up to 20 MB and 200,000 rows. We find the email column automatically and keep your other columns in the full report.

How long do you keep my lists?

Uploaded files are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can delete a list yourself at any time from the Bulk verify page.

Do you send any email to the addresses I check?

No. We talk to the receiving mail server to see if the mailbox exists, but no message is ever delivered.

Is there an API?

Yes. Create an API key in your dashboard and call the REST endpoints for single checks and bulk lists. API checks use the same credits.

Can I get a refund for unused credits?

Contact us within 14 days of purchase if you have not used the credits and we will help.
